IF THEY ARE BROKEN, REPLACE THEM ! Simple, huh ?!

Hello, my name is Wally Cox.

Ok, so I'm not Wally, however somehow I believe that if I were born 30 years earlier I just might have been... you know.

This is my first BLAH-G of 2006 and I hope everyone made it through the new years safely and didn't drink too much Coca-Cola. I actually drank a few glasses of non-alcoholic grape wine, yummy !

Can't say too much about the 800 Mega Hurts system, kind of like that song "Same as it ever was". I managed to get a few things done over the last few days... in fact I suprised myself !

FIRST, I got tired of reading the new dispatch codes for the ambulances on the web that were totally incorrect !! I'm sure you've heard the new codes like ALPHA and OMEGA ( two good friends of mine ) instead of E1 and E2, well I posted the new codes on my website for all to read.

THE CODES I HAVE POSTED ARE CORRECT !

I wish to thank my friends at the different EMS stations for their help and also would like to thank Scott J. (remember him, the guy with two ears, a nose and two mouths ? HEY, at least he has about 40 scanners !) who also did some research for me. If you would like to go directly to that page instead of going to my website first, too bad. Naw, just click here. I'm not a mean Blah-ger. I changed my website's main page too so you might want to look at it. Look at the nice new banner while you're there. http://800.k3sam.com

THIRD, I posted several new audio files for you to listen to. You can even download them for your own personal collection. 911 does, why shouldn't you ??

FIFTH, I now have several new contact people in high places. One is in the tree outside of my house right now ! Seriously, I've spoken to DHS, PEMA, FEMA and yesterday had a nice conversation with Senator Regola's office again. I want to thank each and every one of them for their time in speaking to me and their concerns over this system. In some cases some now have confirmed that they had the wool pulled over their eyes by Richard Matason, the Westmoreland County 911 Director.

Things are looking up my friends. Soon I'm hoping for some BIG CHANGES in equipment and management at the Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety.... soon.

SEVENTH, I have found out that 911 ORDERED STALEY COMMUNICATIONS to TURN DOWN THE POWER LEVEL on a number of tower transmitters ! You know, the transmitters the Police, EMS, and Firemen hear in their cars and on their portable radios !

WHY ?

Most agencies have problems receiving the 911 center as it is, now 911 has had the POWER TURNED DOWN (power output was 100-130 watts, now most likely at 35 watts). WHAT is this county coming too ?

Can hear eee now ?

That also means more DEAD SPOTS !!

And C, my new years resolution.

I promised myself that I will NOT STOP in my efforts to get the Police, EMS, and Fire Departments of Westmoreland County a workable communications system.

Mr. Commissioner I have gone over your head ! If you select not to talk to me then I have no other choice. I went over the heads of the current 911 management a long time ago.
And I'm not referring to the "Bushman", although he is over your head when it comes to having any smarts !

WHAT EVER IT TAKES !

Time to STOP messing with the little people. I'll leave that up to the BIG people who are NOW INVOLVED.

There WILL BE A BIG MEETING in the near future in Greensburg. I hope to be there however that is NOT an issue. Just the fact that people will be flying in for this meeting should tell you something. I'll keep you posted and give you more information WHEN I CAN.

With that, please enjoy the new nifty audio files and the cool EMS dispatch code table I put on my site. Feel free to download and print that too. I did ! You can too ! Print an extra one for your dog !!!

DECODED,
K3SAM
