TAC THIS !

FIRE STATION 101, YOU WERE DISPATCHED TO ASSIST STATION 102 WITH A HOUSE FIRE. MEET THEM ON ZONE OPERATIONS FOR DIRECTIONS.

Those days are gone.

Now it’s something like...

Station 101 to Westmoreland County 911, nature of this call.
Station 101, you are on the Dispatch Frequency. Move to your Zone Command Frequency and repeat your last transmission.

Station 101 to Westmoreland County 911, nature of this call.
Station 101, you were dispatched to assist Station 102, operations are on TAC 3.

Station 101 to Westmoreland County 911, Operations TAC 3. Switching now.
Station 101, you are on TAC 5, you need to be on TAC 3.

Station 101 to Westmoreland County 911, Switching to TAC 3.
Station 101, you are now on TAC 7.

Station 101 to Westmoreland County 911, Switching to TAC 3.
Station 101, you are going the wrong way, you are on TAC 11. TAC 3 is the TAC Channel.

You can see how confusing it is now as compared to before and from everyone that I talk to it hasn’t gotten any better since the new system was first put in.

You see, when a fire department is called out, they are not called out to play with radios. They are called to put out a fire, help people involved in an auto accident, unstuck some people persons that might be trapped in somewhere they shouldn’t be trapped in, you know… SAVE LIVES.

If the county needs someone to synchronize radios to TAC channels, why don’t they just hire all the dispatchers that don’t like me. They have nothing better to do.

My apologies to Markle, Station 101 for using them in this example. I only did so because they have had a great deal of problems with their NEW radios and tons of Dead Spots… what good is this system when the radios have problems or when you go to use them they don’t work because they are NOT getting a signal from the tower (Dead Spots).

Did I just repeat myself above ? If so, GOOD.

All the personnel that I’ve met from Markle (through IM’s) seem to be very nice except for this one guy who spends entirely too much time playing with his garden hose – lol. The Booger BLAH-GER says Good Job !

I’ve made an AUDIO CLIP of what I call
TAC-Channels.mp3
and I POSTED IT on my website. I think it pretty much sums up the point I am getting at with TAC Channels.

* * *

That’s about it for this morning. I’m just wondering if the 911 Center got it’s equipment repaired or replaced yet ? You know, the stuff that got toasted during the last storm we had in August. How do they work that, through insurance or do they classify that as an “ACT OF GOD” ? My guess, Act of God.

You know, you really shouldn’t try to fool the public into thinking that this system is at 95% coverage. It’s not nice to try and fool Father Nature and the Blah-ger.

If anything, the 800 Mega Hurts (MHz) system coverage might be at 70% and 911 Management is at a 95% BS Rating (MBs).

DECODED,
