SICK UP AND FEED
SICK
Hey peoples, your Blah-ger is 10-6 (code 6) with some strange illness so my apologies for not getting this thing out earlier.
Besides not feeling good I’ve been gluing my toes on all day as they keep falling off. Could it be RF exposure from visiting these 911 towers lately ?

Damn, just put my left toe on my right foot !

I did take two aspirins but the Doctor never called me in the morning (or was I suppose to call him ?).
AUDIO
One thingy that I did do in my infinite sickness was to edit an audio recording that I made of a foot pursuit of New Kensington Police yesterday with Lower Burrell assisting.
That audio can be found on my website too under the audio menu.
Taking a one and a half hour audio tape and cutting it down (editing) takes about 45 minutes to a few hours depending what all is needed. This editing took about an hour.
Got to admire the guys at New Ken, this is the second foot pursuit that I can remember hearing them on. They have what I can only describe as a “sick sense” and can smell a runner before they run ! kewl says the booger.
Oh, and usually if I post an audio clip it is from the incident start to what I call the end. I like to keep the audio clips under 3 minutes if possible due to limitations placed on the dial-up internet users.
The foot pursuit incident with New Ken starts with the perp being pulled over and ends when the foot pursuit is over and the perp is caught. LISTEN !

COUNTY-WIDE 800 MHZ RADIO SYSTEM UPDATE
The countywide 800 MHz system continues to expand at a very steady rate and continues to function as expected.
Construction of the last two of the 25 towers that comprise the system infrastructure began at the end of June and currently the towers are up and the buildings are in place at both Scottdale and North Huntingdon. Installation of the T-1 and utilities will be accomplished next week and then the installation and testing of the radio equipment will take place. We expect to complete these final sites by the end of the month.
As soon as the tower sites are fully installed, the Department of Public Safety and Motorola will conduct the final coverage/acceptance testing of the system in the remaining areas of the county.
The fielding plan calls for the fire departments in Zone 3 to be placed on the air, followed by Greensburg and Murrysville police departments. They will be followed by the fire departments in North Huntingdon Township and District 6 police departments.
Staley Communications, the radio maintenance provider for Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety, continues to install mobile radios at a steady pace. Over 70% of the 900+ mobile radios have been installed to date.
When the system is finally completed later this year, over 3000 subscribers will be using the countywide 800 MHz system on a daily basis.
SPECIAL NOTE:
THE 9-1-1 CENTER IS NOW ACTIVELY DISPATCHING ON THE 800 MHz RADIO SYSTEM. ALL 800 CHANNELS WILL BE FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY AND WILL NOT BE USED FOR TEST MESSAGES OR CASUAL CONVERSATION.

Oh how I wish I could change some of the words in that news letter or add to it but I’ll be nice to Rich and Mark.
WHY
Latrobe (Trobe) never has any interesting things going on and I want to know why ?
New Ken always has pursuits and drug busts, Jeannette is always running around on pursuits, gun shots and break-in’s and all I hear in Trobe is loud music complaints and maybe a handicapped criminal that parks too long at the hospital and receives a ticket. (I didn’t know the wanna be security guards at Latrobe Area Hospital are Deputized ! They can arrest people for looking crocked at IV bags and they can write parking tickets to the handicapped when they can’t find a good place to park ! WOW – what power !!)
Is it that we have a better crime rate, better police officers or better disciplined citizens ?
I have another theory !
We are just plan out boring people here and we don’t know how to commit a serious crime. That makes it easy on the police in Trobe. I know I would rather listen to the scanner and collect items to report on than go steal a T-Bone Steak at Shop ‘n Drop or Hold Up a Car Wash / Cigar Store. But that’s just me.
Now if everyone would be like your humble boogy blah-ger life would be much better. Smart, but pleasantly boring.
PROMISE

Tonight’s supper will consist of a Stolen T-Bone Steak, rare with raw carrots and peas, Freedom Fries with Mustard Sauce, Cow Liver Lip Salad with Cashews Sprinkled lightly over the Lips.
