FIREWORKS - HOTDOGS - WOMEN and MEGA HURTS, IT'S THE 4th
It is JULY 4th, 2005 !
I am the Blah-ger and this IS the BLAH-G, your #1 place for totally worthless general information AND fairly decent Westmoreland County PA 800 Mhz Department of Public Service Radio System News.
Overnight I compiled a new .p96 file. That is a file that you can use to program your GRE (Radio Shack for you laymen) Scanner.
Now let me say this about that before you download and install it in your skinnour. There are pros and cons when you use this file.
This file dedicates all but one bank of channels to the Westmoreland County 800 Mhz Trunking System. The final bank is also for 800 Mhz however it holds the Westmoreland County Talk Around (TA) Frequencies in it.
In bank one for instance all Talkgroups (TG) are turned OFF except for FIRE.
In bank two all the TG’s are turned off except for District 1 Police.
In bank four, all the TG’s are turned off except for District 4 Police.
Bank 9 (last bank) has all the TA frequencies.
Gee, thought I was going to type BACK instead of BANK. geeesh !!
The PROS to using this file over the other file I have posted.
* You can listen to the services you want to and turn off those you don’t very quickly by deselecting that BANK.
(wow – one pro)
CONS of using this file.
* The scanner will take longer to go from bank 0 to bank 9 (10 banks).
* Less flexibility on using conventional frequencies as the 800 Mhz takes up more space.
Gee, somehow I thought there were more Cons than that, but I can’t think of anymore now. Perhaps it’s my brain again. When I was born and they were handing out parts I thought they said TRAIN instead of BRAIN, and I ordered a slow one. Toot Toot !
I also posted a MicroSoft Word file of my TG’s. I haven’t yet but not had not one (nice sentence) email as to whether or not you like it not or not. If you download that file and use it (black and white, no extra charge) then you will have in front of you exactly what I am using. Then, every time you look at it you can think of me !

I have some other Word files that I work with that I could very well post but nobodynoodle has requested them. I have a nice one showing the car designators like when you hear Car 1-11, is that Penn Township, North Irwin, Adamsburg or Jeannette ? Well, experienced Westmoreland Scanner Freaks like that GMan character (Super Freak !) will know that it is Pennette, or is that Jean Township ? Hehe lol and HA ! Request the file at your nearby Wallyburgers or Franks Ferters or just email Me.

The Latrobe Police Chief gets today off, he had his IOC call him this AM. Do you get today off ? The Postal Employees get today off ! Government gets today OFF. The Boogerette GETS today off. GMan gets TODAY off !! I have to pretend that I’m WORKING today !

BIGGA FIREWORKS IN LATROBE TONIGHT ! COME ONE - COME ALL - SEE THE PRETTY LIGHTS AND HEAR THE LOUD NOISES !
Directions:
If you are coming in from the Big Highway, turn right. Go through the light and make a left at the first thing. Then make a right after you go two houses. Go straight for awhile until you get to one of the stop signs. Make a right until you see the Big Elevator. Go to the third floor and turn left. You are there ! See ya at “the Works”.
If you are coming from the Little Highway then just make a right and you are there.
Just make a left from there and it will take you to my little house on the prairie next to Cheers. If you get lost just stop into Cheers and ask Norm where the Booger lives. He will know, right next to Cliff.
Ok, I’ve rambled enough. Parade in Trobe this morning, fireworks at night and relaxation in-between. Who could ask for anything more ?
